Konsistori päätti kokouksessaan 19.1.2021 perustaa kansainvälisen Doctoral Programme in Plenoptic Imaging (PLENOPTIMA) -yhteistyöohjelman määräajaksi 1.8.2021 – 31.7.2026. Ohjelman koulutusvastuu on informaatioteknologian ja viestinnän tiedekunnalla, koordinaattorina toimii 3D Media Group. Ohjelma liittyy tietotekniikan yksikön koordinoimalle hankkeelle myönnettyyn EU:n Marie Sklodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network European Joint Doctorate -rahoitukseen. The Academic Board decided to establish the joint international Doctoral Programme in Plenoptic Imaging (PLENOPTIMA) for a fixed-term period running from 1 August 2021 to 31 July 2026. The Faculty of Information Technology and Communication Sciences will be responsible for providing education to students who enrol on the programme. The new doctoral programme is connected to the funding awarded for the doctoral education project that is coordinated by the Computing Sciences unit under the EU Marie Sklodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network European Joint Doctorate Programme.
