Keskiviikon palaverissa kävimme läpi vuosikertomus 2020 -luonnosta. Tiedekunnan pitää toimittaa vuosikertomus eteenpäin perjantaina.
Kati Iltanen on tehnyt kalvoja maanantain 22.2. laajaan johtoryhmään. Esille tulevat mm. ITC-tiedekunnan koulutuksen toimenpidenostot vuodelle 2021 ja opetustarjonnan & työsuunnitelmien laatiminen lukuvuodelle 2021-2022. Johtoryhmässä syntyi laajaa keskustelua kysymyksestä kuinka yliopistonlehtoreiden ja -opettajien aika riittäisi sekä tutkimukseen että opetukseen.
Ensi viikolla alkaa uusi podcast-sarja Voices of Research informaatioteknologian ja viestinnän tiedekunnan tutkijoista. Sarja on englanninkielinen. Toimittaja Mikael Fristadius haastattelee ihmisiä heidän tutkijan urastaan ja tutkimuksestaan. ITC-tiedekunnassa on tutkijoita ympäri maailmaa.
Ohjelmasarja tulee kevään aikana Radio Moreenista ja jaksot tulevat myös Moreenin soundcloudiin. Ensimmäinen jaksossa on vieraana professori Simona Lohan, (Communications Engineering, Wireless positioning and communications). 23.2.2021 klo 14.07 Radio Moreenista ja sen jälkeen kuunneltavissa soundcloudissa. Toinen jakso julkaistaan 2.3.2021, haasteteltavana on Senior Research Fellow Thomas Apperley (Game culture). Kevään muut haastateltavat: Mary Nurminen, Moncef Gabbouj, Johannes Riquet, Thomas Olssonin, Asko Lehmuskallion ja Riku Roihankorpi. Sarjaa pyritään jatkamaan, vaatii pienen rahallisen panostuksen.

At Wednesday’s meeting, we went through the draft Annual Report 2020. The Faculty is due to submit an annual report on Friday.
Kati Iltanen has done the slides on Monday 22.2. to a broad management group. Emerging e.g. ITC Faculty training measures for 2021 and preparation of teaching offerings & work plans for the academic year 2021-2022. There was an extensive discussion in the management group on the question of how to get enough time for research and teaching.
Next week begins a new podcast series of researchers from the ITC, Voices of Research. Voices of Research is an English-language series of researchers from the University of Tampere’s Faculty of Information Technology and Communications. During the spring, journalist Mikael Fristadius will interview eight people about their research careers and research. The ITC faculty offers a wide range of research opportunities to people around the world.
The program series will come from Radio Moreeni during the spring and the episodes will also come to Moreeni’s SoundCloud. The first guest of the episode is Professor Simona Lohan, (Communications Engineering, Wireless Positioning and communications). 2/23/2021 In the second (2.3.) the interviewee is Senior Research Fellow Thomas Apperley (Game culture). Other interviewees in the spring: Mary Nurminen, Moncef Gabbouj, Johannes Riquet, Thomas Olsson, Asko Lehmuskallio and Riku Roihankorpi. To continue the series requires a small financial investment.
