Considering this meeting, I can say that my Persian vocabulary was practically developed and I was more confident when pronouncing the new words. It was also surprising how the experience of teaching Spanish to Alijon helped me become more conscious about the way I explain simple ideas in my native language. Moreover, our discussion about travel and routine in the weekly activities provided me with little cultural information, which I had not intended to acquire but it was a bonus experience.
One of the problems was to remember all new words as most of them sounded similar. Nevertheless, the casual feeling helped to ask and review questions without being under pressure. Our initial plan, which consisted of practicing vocabulary, was generally the same; however, the cultural conversation was longer than it was supposed to be, which was a kind of value addition to the session.
All in all, it was a very basic yet valuable meeting which contributed to the better development of our language knowledge and cultural background.
