For our final meeting, we gathered at Lenka’s place to “celebrate” Christoph’s farewell to Tampere. Lenka baked her delicious cinnamon rolls, and we made sure to bring plenty of snacks.
With one – or rather many – cups of hot ginger tea, we simply sat together, talked, and took time to reflect on everything we had learned and experienced throughout this exchange and also in the Each One Teach One Sessions.
Even though there was a feeling of sadness knowing our exchange semester was coming to an end, we also laughed a lot about all the moments we shared together. What made saying goodbye a little easier was the comforting thought that we will definitely see each other again – after all, our home countries are not that far apart.
We talked about how incredibly fast time had passed and about the many beautiful memories we now connect with each other, with Tampere, and with Finland.
