I went to a K-POP party with my Korean friend, and I was really excited because I love music and expected to hear a lot of K-pop songs. They even gave me an adorable patch as a gift, which made the night feel even more fun.
During the party, I met “Jinu”, the main character from “K-pop Demon Hunters” on Netflx. Her cosplay was amazing, and the details were so perfect that it almost felt like meeting the real character.
We danced all night with our friends and requested so many K-pop songs. For a moment, it almost felt like being back in Korea.
What made the night even more special was meeting a cute Finnish girl who spoke Korean surprisingly well! it was honestly really impressive.
She taught me how to say “어려운 단어가 많아요(There are many difficult words)” in Finnish.
I can say “On paljon vaikeita sanoja”.
We talked about Korean culture music, and how she started learning the language.
It was a simple conversation, but it made me feel proud that K-pop can connect people from totally different backgrounds. Moments like this remind me why I enjoy sharing my culture through this course.
