Today we went shopping together at the supermarket.
We talked about what dishes we like to cook. I eat a vegan diet and cook completely different things to the others. My shopping was very different from the others.
The others told us that prices in the Netherlands are getting higher and higher. There are cheaper supermarkets than others:
Albert Heijn (most expensive)
Jumbo (medium)
Hoogvliet (medium)
Aldi or LIDL (cheapest)
Inflation is also very noticeable in Germany. Some foods now cost twice as much. Aldi and Lidl are the cheapest. Organic markets and Edeka are the most expensive. Penny and Rewe are in the middle price segment.
We thought it would be fun to learn a few types of fruit and vegetables. We taught each other the following words:
We noticed again that some words are very similar in Dutch and German. That’s why it was easy for me to learn and teach the words.
