Germany is and remains a country of beer drinkers. The stronghold of German beer brewing is in Bavaria, but beer in all its varieties is also popular in other parts of the country. In the south and west, Germans also like to enjoy a glass of wine. The 5 most important beer brands in Bavaria: Augustiner-Bräu, Hofbräuhaus, Paulaner, Erdinger, Spaten-Franziskaner-Bräu. A typical Bavarian beer is the top-fermented wheat beer, which is brewed with wheat malt.
In the Netherlands you can legally drink from the age of 18.
A popular drink is beer, for example Heineken is a populair brand. A special drink is the Dropshot (liquorice schnapps) or the Stroopwafel (tastes like the popular Stroopwafel cookie).
It was a nice meeting with good Swedish food. We Germans always like to talk about our beer anyway.
