Food is one of the best “connectors” when you want to know somebody’s culture, or cuisine or just break the ice overall. We have known each other for a couple of weeks so we decided to have dinner together at Inés place. This evening was such fun. Discussing Spanish cuisine and traditional foods was spectacular because I love talking about food. Inés also described the “special foods” typical in smaller regions in Spain. We ate Spanish omelette and croquetas and it was delicious!!! During the evening we discussed that when you are travelling it’s great to (at least) try the local meals even if you don’t feel “attractive” because, for example, I am very picky. Still, when I am travelling, I want to experience different cultures and cuisine.
