Greetings from Belgium! I am doing a Clinical placement in a hospital for 9 weeks as my last two internships here in Belgium. Everything they say about Belgium is true, the waffles are amazing and beer is good.

I spent 3 months in Salzburg, Austria doing a clinical placement at a local hospital as a second year nursing student. This experience allowed me to grow both professionally and personally. One of my biggest (and scariest) goals was to be able to communicate merely in German during my placement.

I spent 2,5 months in Gent, Belgium doing a clinical placement for my studies. The experience was unforgettable and taught me a lot about myself as a person as well as a professional. I knew practically nothing about Belgium in advance, so the country surprised me in many ways, both good and not-so-good.

Greetings from The Hague, the Netherlands

I did my study abroad semester in the Netherlands, in city called the Hague, and the experience was both enriching and rewarding. The exchange offered me the opportunity to get to know a new culture, improve my language skills and create new memories. The Netherlands turned out to be a modern and international country which made it easy for me to adjust there.

Greetings from Italy!

Italy has been treating me well. I am having an internship at the Hospital of Perugia and during free time I have been discovering Perugia and the beautiful little towns and Cities around it. I work at the Urology department and it is exiting to learn more about the regular pre- and postoperative work with surgery patients. My tutor nurses are very nice and they teach me Italian along the working hours. We have a great athmosphere at our department and I felt welcome from the very first day. The first picture is taken in a city called Spello. I spent a gorgeous Saturday discovering the beautiful streets of it. I also forgot that siesta is a real and actually occuring thing especially in the smaller cities of Italy during the days, so insted of eating in a restourant as planned I prepared myself a pasta in a camper van that me and my friend lived in for the first part of the trip. Food is absolutely delicious. I have deeply fallen in love with the Extra Virgin Olive Oils that the area of Umbria has to offer, for example. Sun has been shining warmly during the autumn and it warms my heart especially when knowing that in Finland it is getting quite dark and cold.

Dear reader, My exchange here in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is coming to an end. The weather has been pleasant, and the studies have been somewhat challenging. I have learned a lot about Malaysia, cultural differences, and myself while being far away from home.

Postcard from Spain

I have spent my exchange period in Spain doing my internship at the Finnish parish. The work has been wonderfully social and diverse — every day has offered something new, from community events to encounters with people of different ages and backgrounds. I have really enjoyed the variety and warmth of this experience.
