My studies in Gijon went surprisingly well, the campus was really nice (see picture). The time flew by in an instant.

I feel like the course offering in English was good and there were some new subject for me too like statistics for commerce.
For my spare time I was mostly just walking around the city, spending time with friends, eating at a restaurant or my favorite, playing basketball in a local team that I joined for the duration of my exchange. Being able to really play basketball helped me also feel more at home at the strange location. The teaching was much more old-school than in Finland, though some individual teachers were more modern and dismissive of the ancient rules of the school, which was nice to see, in the contrary though I had the worst god-complex person I’ve ever met as one of my teachers, so I can’t go too deep into compliments toward this school, even though statistics for example surprised me in a very positive manner.
I do recommend Gijon if you don’t enjoy the most tourist-y locations and want to experience genuine North of Spain.
