My exchange started mid-September, a bit later than semesters usually start in Finland. The focus in my studies is international financial management. The School system in Switzerland is quite similar to the Finnish one. Biggest differences are that firstly here there is usually one, more extensive exam at the end of the whole semester. The other major difference is that although I am studying in a university of applied sciences, it had a feeling more close to a traditional university. The lectures are long and the class sizes quite large.
I live in a 14 storey building (Staffhouse) near the University where the top 4 floors are reserved for exchange students. The views from the Staffhouse are amazing.
My free time has consisted of hiking the mountains, traveling nearby countries and going to different events like Octoberfest in München, Germany.
