I have spent three months studying in Madrid at the University of Fransisco de Vitoria. My classes here are mostly with other international students, so I have had the opportunity to get to know people from all over the world. I have really enjoyed my time here at the university. I would say the studying is pretty similar to Finland, but a little bit easier. We have had some teamwork and presentations, but not that much assignments to do independently.
I have loved trying the local cuisine as well!
I think Madrid is a city that never sleeps, the people are always out enjoying themselves – having drinks, eating dinner, partying. In my spare time I usually go to nice cafes and bars with my friends or just explore the city more. I have also joined run clubs and dance classes. There is always something fun to do here. During the weekends I have traveled to different cities in Spain and seen a lot of the country. I even took a bus to Portugal to go surfing! Studying in Madrid has given me unforgettable experiences, lifelong friends and new insights into the Spanish culture.
