Greetings from Porto!
I am here doing my exchange in ISCAP. I have been taking courses regarding finance and economics. When I’m not at school, I’ve been exploring the city of Porto and meeting with my new and old friends. The city has very steep hills that have made just walking around feel like a full workout. By now they don’t feel that bad, though, luckily. The weather here has been very warm, even though it has started to get a little cold and very rainy.
I have also been travelling outside of Porto; I’ve been to Aveiro, Algarve, Braga, and Madeira. I also went to Vigo and Morocco.
The school is quite different here than in Finland. The lectures start at a later time and also end later. I feel like going to an 8 am. class would be impossible for me after this period. We have less groupwork, and the exams are more difficult and more common here.
Going out is also different. Most of the events start earliest at 10 pm. Usually at that time I’m ready to go to sleep, so it has been a journey to get used to such late meetings.
Even though I miss Finland a lot, it has been such a pleasure and a journey living here these months.
Best regards
