Postcard from Würzburg

I spent five and half months in Würzburg, Germany studying International Management in Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt. I attended courses with local and other exchange students. Our schedule didn't include lunch break and sometimes school lasted late in to the evening. Germany is known for beautiful Christmas markets and Glühwein. During the wintertime we visited different cities and walked around the markets while drinking hot Glühwein. There were not as many organised student parties, but the ones there was, we attended. We enjoyed international karaoke nights and bar hopping. The courses I attended, had either one extensive exam or a case study, that we had to solve in small groups. The exams reminded me of the Finnish Matriculation Examination, because we went to a big conference hall, and had to sit on our named seats. The lectures were quite similar that I'm used to in Finland. Tschüss, - Siiri Nyrönen

Servus aus München!

Spending my exchange year in Munich has been both exciting and eye-opening. In this post I share a glimpse into my everyday life here: how my studies differ from Finland, what I do in my free time, and how I see the contrasts between academic cultures in Germany and back home.

Guten Tag from Deutschland

Greetings from Berlin, Germany (and a short visit to Frankfurt as well)! I have visited Berlin once before, but in this blog I will share you my daily life as an intern working in Berlin in this second visit.

Hallo from Berlin!

From döner kebabs to techno beats—hallo from Berlin! In September, I embarked on an exciting journey to Berlin for my exchange studies. I started with a two-week German course, which was a great way to get familiar with the language and meet new people. I had always wanted to experience life in a big city, and Berlin seemed like the perfect place. The city was full of energy, diversity, and creativity, and I quickly realized that this would be a life-changing experience.
