When I first heard of living in Finland, I thought it was like being surrounded by snow, the darkness, the trees. And most of them are true up to now. Growing up in Vietnam where the houses are close and the streets are always vibrant, noisy, I was often on the move around the city every time I got the chance. But now, it seems much harder with all the snow here in Finland. Not to mention all the clothes I need to put on to survive this winter. However, the best thing here is the beautiful nature that is created by the snow, the trees, and the Finnish people.
I had a great time studying at TAMK and interacting with lecturers. They are super friendly and willing to help whenever possible. In addition, living here gives me a sense of being alone and having more space for my own. Sometimes, we just need to take a step back, and rest, spend some quality time on ourselves.
After several months, I find myself calmer and slowly adapting to this new lifestyle when I take things slowly and focus more on my mental state and well-being.
