For our first meeting with Néd we went through basic introductions. I introduced myself in French, and he in Finnish, after which we talked about our families. We shared about our hobbies which led to us talking about video games, and our favorite game and disney characters.
Néd mentioned how difficult it is to start learning informal Finnish after learning the formal way, since us Finns mostly speak informally in our everyday life. Regardless he’s making such good progress and surprises me with his Finnish knowledge every time.
