Our recent journey led Gopi, my friend from India, and me, a German, to discuss the complex issue of racism. Gopi shared personal encounters with prejudice, highlighting the challenges faced by individuals of South Asian descent. In turn, I reflected on Germany’s historical context and ongoing efforts to address racism.
Our conversations revealed the global nature of racism, transcending borders and prompting a joint commitment to fostering awareness and inclusivity. This shared exploration underscored the importance of ongoing dialogue and collaborative actions to combat discrimination in all its forms.
