Thrift shopping in Tampere together

For our EOTo meeting we were visiting some thrift shops in Tampere together. We had the idea because it was part of TREY’s Event department collection during the wellbeing week. They organized a Thrift Store/Flea Market Appro. We moved from Thrift Shop to Thrift Shop around the City Center of Tampere. Events like these are very common in Finland’s student culture. I learned that in the Netherlands student “appros” are also common, but they often involve bars or café’s instead of second hand shops. In germany, students events like this are very uncommon.

Our main goal in this meeting wasn’t teaching vocabulary or grammar, but rather enjoying the time in the group and diving into the Finnish student life. While shopping, we talked about on some random things and our thoughts on the clothes and prices, and compared them to the prices of our home countries. Overall it was a really fun afternoon, I had much fun with my group while checking out the different Thrift Stores.
