Greetings from Esslingen, Germany

Seems that my postcard was a bit stuck in the mail, as i've already returned back home!

Southern Germany has really been an interesting place to go for an exchange. Due to the close proximity to Stuttgart, i’ve naturally visited the Mercedes and Porsche museum already. We also had a factory tour around the Porsche plant. Overall the weather in Baden-Württemberg is generally nice atleast to me. I dont mind the prolonged fall, as it also meant that the summer lasted until the end of September. Also the warmer winter months and higher amount sunlight is less depression inducing.

In here, the school is generally a lot more challenging than at home and i had to get my learning habits back in check. I would generally compare it more to a Finnish university than a Finnish UAS. That also might have something to do with the fact that Automotive engineering in Esslingen is one of the prestigious ones in Germany. The A2 German class was also fully taught in German, so among other reasons my German has been getting a lot better.

Overall during the exchange, i’ve met some wonderful people and learned a lot of relevant stuff academically, that i wouldnt have back home. I’m also now more confident that i might consider living in Germany in the near future and this has been a nice trial run.
