I really think that the most effecting one for the Finnish people is the fact that there are four seasons, spring, summer, fall and winter that really stands out from each other. Where spring is kind of a little sister for summer is the fact that fall is the same for the winter. Basically, the spring and summer are the same. Only difference between them is that the summertime is little bit warmer. Fall is just windy, rainy, and very dark time of the year, but the colors of the fall are nice! Winter is nice if the weather stays on minus degrees, if not it’s just as bad as fall if not even worst.
Everyone has their favorite time of the year. Someone might think that summer is the best and the other ones are voting for winter. I really like all four, because they are different from each other. For example, I like to cycle trough out the year! I just must add studded tires to my bike, and I am able to ride all year around. Basically, many hobbies on summertime are done in outside, but when fall arrives the hobbies move indoors. Not in all cases, but that’s only done because the weather gets so bad, that its not nice to stay outside. On wintertime many hobbies have something to do withs ice and snow. Like for example ice hockey, snowboarding and cross-country skiing. Also, ice swimming is getting popular hobby in winter. There you go back-to-back from sauna to almost frozen lake many times in a row.
All in all, I think that it really depends on the season that you are visiting Finland, that what are the things that you should be doing. If you have any chances, I highly recommend coming to Finland in all four seasons, so you can see everything Finland has to offer, and I can promise that you won’t be disappointed.
