Uniqueness of Finland

Simplicity is a word I would choose to describe Finland. Nature, sauna and quite…what else could you want?

Finland is quite a unique country. They are one of the happiest countries, one of the most sustainable countries, have one of the best education systems…so many titles, but they are still quite forgotten about. Not many people know about Finland as much as they do about Norway or Sweden, heck as a Finn I still get asked if the fjords are as beautiful as they seem!

However, I think that is what makes Finland so unique. Even though it is not as popular as other countries, the Finns are not bothered at all and live life like they want to, unscathed. I don’t think the Finns would be able to cope if it were a massive tourist destination. There would be so many people everywhere there wouldn’t be a lot of personal space, which is one of the fundamentals as a Finn. I am not going to lie; we are quite and are not very fond of small talk. We would rather sit in silence and enjoy the quite that surrounds us, rather than engage in awkward small talk. But if you get to know us and we let you in, I can say that we can become one of the loudest people in the room.

All in all, simple and unique are words I would choose to describe Finland. Nature, sauna and quite…what else could you want?
