10. Meeting: Wrap up

Our last meeting (for now) is all about looking back at all the good times we have spent together and what we have learned from each other. Reflecting on what stood out the most is not easy to put into words. Each meeting had its own charm. Whether it was the heart-warming conversations, the shared laughter or the genuine cultural exchange, many moments left a lasting impression.

My favourite food from this series of meetings? Definitely the lentil soup, the pancakes and the Christmas cookies. But there are still a lot of recipes and cultural differences to teach each other. We were able to give each other a glimpse of our cultures. But it was enough to make me want to learn even more about the Caribbean.
Not only did I learn about the flavours of Caribbean cuisine on this journey, but I also made some fantastic friends. The experience was more than just exchanging recipes, it was about building connections and understanding the richness of Caribbean culture. Thank you Nisa! Hopefully this won’t be our last meeting, I can’t wait to visit you with Fabian.
