3rd meeting - Meeting the family

For the third meeting I met Néd’s family, as they were visiting Finland for the holidays. We were going to go to the Helsinki Christmas market for the last day it was open, but it had closed down early. Instead we went to have dinner at Amarillo, since most other restaurants were closed (one of the many culture shocks for the family). The family admired the amount of christmas lights decorating the streets of Helsinki, since their hometown in France is saving up by not putting up christmas lights.
During our conversations I snagged up some words and phrases I’ve learned through Duolingo, but all in all it was very hard for me to keep up with the conversation in French. Luckily, Néd’s mom and sister had leared some English prior to their trip.
