8. Meeting – Impression of Germany

First, I started showing her photos of Berlin on the internet. When I saw a photo of the dividing wall in Berlin, I told her about the German history and how it was when Germany was united again. I also explained why the German day of unity is not celebrated on the 9^th of November but on 3^rd of Oktober even though the wall was broken down on this date in 1989. As the second city I showed her photos of Stuttgart and also its spring festival because it is the next state capital next to my hometown. Google pictures are an easy tool to visualize. I used this as a tool to show her how the landscapes in southern and northern Germany looks like and photos of castles, which are very famous for Germany. Finally, I introduced her some typical dishes for southern and northern Germany, such as Maultaschen and Currywurst.
