Having a coffee together

For our first meeting we have decided to gather at a Café in the city center. Everyone was introducing themselves and we had a talk about our studies and why we chose Finland as our country of exchange.

The phrases and words we learned about this day were mostly about ordering in a Café, but also simple words like kahvi and teetä.

We also listed up the things we’re going to do in the EOTO course as a group.

What I learned from today’s gathering is that I have the greatest of respect for people trying to learn German as there were so many things even, we Germans had to think about before we could give the proper answer.

Some finish words, at least for me, seem straight forward and logical, because they are the likely same in my native language. Others are difficult to remember and long. But as it is with everything, training and patience are key.
