Our first meeting was at a Café in the city center called Fazer.
We introduced ourselves while drinking a hot drink and decided on practical things such as: how and where we want to meet in the future, what programs we are planning to do, what is our goal with the target language, etc. After that, we started the learning/teaching process. We were mainly focusing on the ”ordering topic” so we learned basic vocabulary and phrases regarding that.
I learned a lot of new words that I didn’t know before. It was a great experience that I could learn the proper pronunciations as well because I have never had a native German-speaking teacher before. On top of that, I’ve also learned a little Finnish, while the others were learning that. It was fun! 🙂
We had a great time after all and I am looking forward to our next meetings!
