On our third meeting, we went to a bar in the city center. The original plan was to taste different types of beers, but we ended up drinking other things. We were talking about beer culture in Germany and Finland, and I learned useful words and phrases regarding this topic (e.g., about how beer is made: das Bier brauen – to brew beer; die Hefe – yeast, etc.). In Germany beer is really popular and Germans have many types of beers. We were talking a little bit about what are the best beers in Germany, but it totally depends on the person’s taste.
We were talking in German about our cultures and the interesting differences between them. It was a really good practice for me that we started to speak more in the target language and also to use the words we learned.
After we finished our drinks, we decided when we are planning to meet again and then we went back home with the tram together.
