Hola, buenas! Do you want to know how it is like to live here in Madrid during exchange? Yes? I will tell you about my life and experiences here in Madrid.

Moving to Madrid for my exchange has been one of the most exciting chapters of my life. The time here has been unforgettable. Lot of new friends and memories gained during these 4 months. Madrid as a city has vibrant atmosphere, rich culture, and endless opportunities which makes it a perfect place for students. gran via

My studies here have been interesting, eye-opening and a bit challenging every now and then. Here I have had mostly finance courses and for example doing accounting here with paper and pencil has been a bit challenging for me. Professors here in URJC are nice, encouraging but also demanding.

In my spare time, I have spent a lot of time with my new friends doing a lot of different things and activities. We have explored different parts of the city for example Malasaña, Chueca, Sol and Goya. I have eaten a lot of tapas and tacos. Especially eating tapas with friends in a cozy bar is really nice way to spend the evening. I have walked through Retiro park multiple times and also visited el Rastro which is a flea market held every Sunday man times. Not to forget the parties here in Madrid. Here is a lot of opportunities to ry and do different things. It has also been easy and very effortless to travel from Madrid. During my time here I have travelled to Lisbon, Mallorca, Paris, Valencia and Toledo.

Comparing studies in Spain to Finland, the differences are clear.

In Finnish universities almost everything is done online and with laptops. Here in Spain almost every Spanish student makes their notes with paper and pen but also most of the exams are done only with paper and pen. Things,

deadlines, class hours and evaluation might change and be a bit messy here in Spain than in Finland where everything is pretty clear from the start of the course.

Living in Madrid has opened my eyes in many ways. I have really enjoyed living here.
