Greetings from Seoul!

Greetings from Seoul!

Dear Reader,

I hope this postcard finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing to you from the vibrant city of Seoul, where each moment is a delightful blend of tradition and modernity.

In my spare time here, I’ve had the chance to delve into the local culture and activities. The bustling markets of Namdaemun and the trendy shops in Gangnam have become my favorite spots to explore. I even tried my hand at some K-pop dance classes, immersing myself in the energetic and infectious rhythm of Korean pop culture.

Balancing my adventures, I’ve also dedicated time to my studies. The educational landscape in Korea is truly fascinating. I’ve had the opportunity to interact with students and faculty members, experiencing firsthand the emphasis on diligence and dedication in Korean academia. The dedication to excellence is evident in the meticulous approach to studies and the strong work ethic prevalent among students.

Speaking of studies, it’s interesting to draw a comparison between the educational systems here and in Finland. While both countries are known for their high-quality education, there are distinct differences. In Korea, there’s a strong focus on academic achievement, with a rigorous curriculum and a competitive atmosphere. Students often attend additional classes, known as hagwons, to supplement their learning.

On the other hand, Finland takes a more relaxed approach, emphasizing creativity and individuality. The Finnish education system values a well-rounded education, with shorter school hours and minimal homework. It’s a refreshing contrast to the intensity of the Korean system, promoting a different perspective on learning and personal development.

As I navigate through this cultural and educational exchange, I find myself enriched by the diversity of experiences. I can’t wait to share more stories and insights with you upon my return. Until then, I send you warm wishes from this mesmerizing city. Take care, and I look forward to catching up soon.
