I ordinally come from Centre of Finland, where the water is the main element of nature. On its surface almost 16 percent is water. I enjoy being at the lake or other waters. It is calming element. I have always lived near the waters. I grew up on a small village, where we had our summer cottage at the lake. I have learned to swim there, to row there and fishing. I have spent many summers together with my family and my cousins since from childhood.
There is no running water, electricity, or indoor toilet, but on summer we have coop without. The best memories are there with my cousins, when we have gone to sauna and to swim and back and forward multiple times, no matter how cold the water has been. There is peaceful and the next is few hundred meters away from our cottage.
When I move to Tampere, Pirkkala. I have found a new special place at the lake Pyhäjärvi, nearby my home where I can still watch the sunset. Finnishness is to me enjoying nature, pure water and safeness is the one of the key elements. My core family is about 13 persons, and we are close and sometimes when living in different cities it is not easy to cope with longing. On my opinion Finns appreciates peace and calmness and maybe my passion to waters is something to do with that.
