A Journey of Enchanting Nature

Finland, a wonderful place, has won my heart with its stunning scenery, peaceful vibe, and the kindness of people. My time here has been amazing, leaving a lasting impression on me.

The Northern Lights was one of the coolest things I’ve seen in Finland. It was like a magical light show in the night sky, with colors swirling around. I was amazed by the beauty of nature.

Besides the Northern Lights, Finland has these four seasons that make everything look like a painting. Spring is all about fresh greenery, and autumn brings fiery red and orange colors to the landscape. It’s like the scenery changes its clothes with each season.

The people in Finland are nice. Even strangers saying “Moi” to each other creates a warm and welcoming feeling. They may seem a bit shy, but they’re genuinely kind. It feels safe here, and you can walk around at night without worrying about safety, which is pretty cool.

During my internship for learning Finnish, I noticed everyone, including kids, is independent. They wear their clothes and eat food themselves. Children are taught to be self-reliant from an early age. At Paivakoti, they take care of their personal needs, a practice I truly appreciate. I believe other countries could learn from Finland’s teaching methods and promote independence in children early on.

Experiencing the long, sunny days of summer and the long, nights of winter has been interesting. Winter brings a lot of snow, turning everything into a winter wonderland. The sunlight on the snow is just beautiful like a diamond everywhere.

Finland has taught me to find joy in simple things, like the sound of birds in the morning, the wind in the trees, or the warmth of a sauna in winter. These little things have become special moments for me.

My time in Finland has changed how I see the world. I’ve learned to appreciate nature, be kind to strangers, and find happiness in the small stuff. As I head home, I’m taking a bit of Finland’s heart with me, a reminder that real beauty is in enjoying the every day and the surprises life brings.
