Tänäänkin johtoryhmälle saapuu vieras, Pertti Suomela, tietohallinnosta. ITC-tiedekunta haluttaisiin pilotoimaan Microsoft Intune -järjestelmää. Tietohallinto haluaa ottaa käyttöön Microsoft Intunen ja sen tarjoamat mahdollisuudet mobiililaitteiden, lähinnä puhelinten, hallintaan.
Suomela esittelee hyötyjä, mm.
- työsovellusten tietojen suojaus (kryptaus),
- jos laite katoaa, se voidaan tyhjentää etäteitse
- kyetään asentamaan minimi tietoturva-asetukset laitteelle
Sovimme, että pilottiin osallistuminen on vapaaehtoista. Tietohallinto toivoo testaajiksi mahdollisimman suurta joukkoa.
Seuraavaksi vielä nopea ja tällä erää viimeinen katsaus professoreiden tutkimuskausijärjestelmän ensimmäinen haun prosessiin. Kyseessä on pilotti, seuraava haku tulee olemaan tammikuussa. Hausta lähtee viesti professoreille.

The management group has a guest, Pertti Suomela, (IT Project Manager / IT Architect, ICT Development Services). The ITC faculty is asked to pilot the Microsoft Intune system. The university wants to take advantage of the possibilities offered by Microsoft Intune to manage mobile devices, mainly telephones.
Suomela presents benefits, e.g.
- data protection of work applications (encryption),
- if the device is lost, it can be emptied remotely
- be able to install the minimum security settings on the device
We agreed that participation in the pilot is voluntary. Suomela hopes for the largest possible number of people.
Next is still a quick and in this batch the final review of the professors’ research sabbatical system’s first search process. The application period is from 1 September to 30 September 2021. This is the first round of applications, the next search will be in January. The Head of Unit will contact all the eligible professors in the Unit.
