Studies

In the fall of 2025, a new specialization option on 'International Security' will be established in the program. The teaching contents of the continuing 'Security Governance' specialization option, as well as the joint programme studies, are also currently being updated and developed. The next intake to the programme will be in fall 2025. The application period will start in December 2024.

The State of Global Nuclear Order

The existing nuclear order has also showed signs of resilience, and at least some ability to withstand the new challenges. Although there are different opinions on the role of the NPT and nuclear deterrence in maintaining great power peace, the degree of volatility that we have had thus far have not yet completely tilted the global nuclear stability.

The application period to the Master’s Programme in Security and Safety Management at Tampere University is open from 7th of December 2022 to 11th of January 2023 (3:00 p.m.; UTC+2). The studies begin in Autumn 2023.
