Oasis Room Meeting 07.11.2025

Our sixth meeting was held in Oasis Room inside the Tampere University which is a room with sofas that made it a very comfortable place to meet. Firstly, we started practicing colours and then we spoke about the weather. Andrea, Lucia, and I got to know how to say these words in Persian, and Alijon in Spanish. This helps us to develop vocabulary and enhancing pronunciation in an actual conversation.

Tamko 6.11.2025

In this session, we were sitting at Tamko which is a small room with sofas, and we were having some coffee. We began discussing the plans of our day and weekend that contributed to establishing a relaxed environment.

Gym Session - 4.11.2025

During this meeting, we were sitting in the gym and learning something improperly, it was a funny session. We started with some revision of new vocabulary that we had learned the previous sessions and then proceeded to learn a bit about the body parts in Persian and Spanish. Andrea, Lucia and I were speaking Persian and Alijon was speaking Spanish.

Coffee and Conversation 27.10.2025

The third meeting was at the common kitchen at the student residence, Lapinkaari. As we were already more relaxed with one another and it was dark and cloudy, we thought it a good plan to remain indoors and have some coffee and cookies and to carry on with our language and cultural exchange in a pleasant setting.

Walking by the lake

The first Each One Teach One meeting was held on 2nd October. We prefer meeting in the lake which was open and peaceful giving us a chance to connect and communicate without any strain. It was not a formal lesson, just a friendly cultural sharing which was developed due to discussions, interest, and experience.

Meeting Us and the City 16.09.2025

Our first meeting took place on 16 September, and although the plan was originally to sit down somewhere quiet and start defining specific language-learning goals, the day unfolded in a much more organic way, because we are both Spanish so we decided to teach each other a bit of English and French, but also our cultures, because one of us is from the North and the other from the South, and even comming from the same country, we have different cultures. We ended up walking around Tampere together, getting to know both the city city and each other.
