Although Türkiye is a familiar place to me because of my Turkish background and my years living in Kayseri, my Erasmus+ internship at Erciyes University allowed me to experience the country from a completely different perspective: as a professional working in an international university environment.
I thought I was just going to Türkiye for an exchange semester—to study, learn, and explore a new culture. But life had something much more powerful in store for me. In the middle of busy university days, delicious meals, and cultural experiences, I met the love of my life. This is a postcard about how studying abroad gave me more than I ever expected—academically, personally, and emotionally.
