Suunnittelemme ITC-tiedekunnan professoreiden ja tenure track -urapolulla olevien yhteistä tilaisuutta elokuun loppuun (31.8.2023). Tilaisuudesta lähetetään alustavat kutsut asianosaisille lähiaikoina.
Dekaani Pekka Verho ja HR-partner Tiina Toikka kertovat missä mennään opetushenkilöstön urapolkumallin suunnittelussa. Lisäksi Pekka Verho ja tiedekuntapäällikkö Kirsi Aalto päivittivät johtoryhmälle viimeisimmät uutiset Tietotalon tilamuutoksista, nyt on päästy yksimielisyyteen kampuskehityksen kanssa Tietotekniikan Tietotaloon sijoittuvan henkilöstön määrästä. Koulutuksesta vastaava varadekaani Erja Sipilä toi esille huolen Sähkötalon opetustilojen vähenemisestä.
Tutkimuksen konttori Belliard & Hamari kertoivat, että nyt on aika käynnistää Vuosisuunnittelun 2024 investointisuunnitelmaprosessi. Tiedekunnan vuoden 2024 vuosisuunnittelun yhteydessä tiedekunnilta pyydetään esityksiä tutkimusinfrastruktuurien sekä opetuksen ja koulutuksen infrastruktuurien hankinnoiksi yliopiston investointiohjelmaan. Tässä prosessissa käsitellään hankintoja, joiden hankintakustannus on vähintään 10 000 €. Jos eri tiedekunnissa on samankaltaisia tarpeita, kannattaa investointi tehdä tiedekuntien yhteisenä ehdotuksena, tällaisessa yhteisessä priorisoinnissa pärjäämiseksi pitää varmistaa, että investoinnille on tuki myös kaikilta mukana olevilta tiedekunnilta. Tiedekunnan ehdotuksessa huomioidaan valmiiksi FIRI-omarahoitukset.
Tiedekunnasta tulevien ehdotusten priorisointikriteerit:
- Liittyy jo olemassa oleviin infrakokonaisuuksiin
- Mahdollisimman paljon käyttöä / käyttöaste, sis. mm.:
- yhteiskäyttöisyys
- tukee sekä opetusta että tutkimusta (sekä yhteiskunnallista vaikuttavuutta)
- Välitön ja jatkuva tarve; future proof
Maija Belliard ehdottaa, että hakijat lähettävät juhannukseen mennessä lyhyen ehdotuksen sähköpostilla staff scientisteille. Scientistit työstävät kesä-elokuussa yhdessä ehdottajan kanssa viralliseen ehdotuksen TAU:n ehdotus-Excel-lomakkeeseen. Johtoryhmä kuulee scientisteja elokuussa ja viralliset ehdotukset esitellään 1.9. tiedekunnalle.

We are planning a joint event for ITC faculty professors and those on the tenure track career path (August 31, 2023). Preliminary invitations to the event will be sent to the parties in the near future.
Dean Pekka Verho and HR partner Tiina Toikka tell where we are going in planning the career path model for teaching staff. In addition, Pekka Verho and faculty head Kirsi Aalto updated the management team with the latest news about the Tietotalo space changes, now an agreement has been reached with campus development on the number of personnel to be located in the Tietoteknikan Tietotalo. Erja Sipilä, the vice dean in charge of education, brought up the concern about the decrease in Sähkötalo’s teaching facilities.
The research office Belliard & Hamari told that now is the time to start the process of the Annual Planning 2024 investment plan. In conjunction with the annual planning for the year 2024, the faculties are asked to present a proposal of investments for research and teaching infrastructures. ITC is requesting ideas from its staff for this investment proposal by email. This process is meant for investments with the acquisition cost no less than 10 000 €. If several faculties have similar investment needs, it makes sense to make a joint proposal for the investment. In such case, it is important to make sure that the other faculties will also support the investment. If not, it may not end up in top places in the prioritization. As default, the Faculty’s proposal takes into account FIRI self-financing.
Prioritizing criteria for suggestions from the faculty:
- Related to already existing infrastructures
- As much use/utilization rate as possible, incl.:
- cooperative use
- supports both teaching and research (as well as societal impact)
- Immediate and ongoing need; future proof
Maija Belliard suggests that applicants send a short proposal by e-mail to staff scientists by midsummer. In June-August, together with the proposer, the scientists work on the official proposal in TAU’s proposal Excel form. The management group will consult scientists about the preliminary overview in August, and the official proposals will be presented on September 1. to the faculty.
