31.10.2022 johtoryhmän kokous - Management group meeting

Aloitamme Tiina Toikan kysymyksellä, kuinka tiedekunnassa halutaan käsitellä Pulssi-kyselyn tulokset. Yliopiston henkilöstölle toteutettiin pulssikysely työhyvinvoinnista 19.9.-7.10.2022. Kysymykset perustuvat osittain viime vuonna toteutetun laajan työhyvinvointikyselyn kysymyksiin.

Talousgurumme Ari Laitinen on laittanut raflaavan otsikonITC:n talous kautta aikojen”. Tiedekunnan neljäs vuosi on päättymässä.

Rehtoraatti on keskustellut tiedekuntien tavoitteista. Rehtoraatti on muistuttanut tiedekuntia tavoitteiden mittaroinnista.

We started with Tiina Toikka’s question about how the faculty wants to process the results of the Pulse survey. A pulse survey on occupational well-being was carried out for the university’s personnel from 19 September to 7 October 2022. The questions are partly based on the questions of the extensive work well-being survey carried out last year. The goal was to use a pulse survey to measure the success of the top themes of the welfare measures: which issues have been improved since the previous measurement and which issues still need to be developed. Tiina Toikka will bring a summary of the results to the management team on November 7, 2022. The management team decided that the dean’s zoom coffees might be the best way to review faculty-level results with staff. So the dean’s Zoom coffees are on November 22, 2022, the topic is the Pulse survey. (More information about the university’s personnel surveys and their implementation, as well as the results of previous surveys, can be found on the intra page Wellbeing Surveys).

Our financial guru Ari Laitinen has put the catchy title ”ITC’s economy through the ages”. The faculty’s fourth year is coming to an end. In 2019 and 2020, the result was a surplus, then a deficit. The management of our faculty, as well as the management of the entire university, hopes for an increase in results-based goals. Publications, Open access publishing , students graduating in the target time – or graduating at all – dissertations, etc. bring money, as everyone knows. External funding and its use are a significant part of the faculty’s finances. Laitinen reflected on the size of next year’s project base, whether it is possibly at the same level as this year. The view of the crystal ball is still partly blurry.

At this point, it is good to remind you to fill out TuniCris. The status of entries by faculty on 20 October 2022 in the picture above. The library helps with all questions related to the topic and organizes trainings. https://www.tuni.fi/en/library/open-science-and-research-support-services

The realization of the 2022 goals, the so-called the traffic sign slides must be ready by 4.11. by 12 o’clock. The goals were recorded in last year’s negotiations with the rectorate. We have recorded e.g. making work plans as part of the curriculum and teaching provision work and promoting well-being at work.

And then we reached five percent of the profit targets for the next year/years. The rectorate has discussed the faculties’ goals. The faculties have drawn up their own goals and the university management has also given the faculties common goals. The rectorate has reminded the faculties that the goals should be measurable. As well as a reminder to record cooperation with both ECIU University and TAMK. The goals must be ready by 15.11.2022.
