Mikhail Mikhailov and Marja Kivilehto at XLVI International VAKKI Symposium in Vaasa

VAKKI is a Finnish research association founded in 1984. During the 40 years of existence, the association has been "actively linking, developing and supporting language and communication research professionals in Finland and worldwide" (https://www.uwasa.fi/en/sites/vakki). One of the VAKKI's key activities is organizing annual symposia on language and communication research and publishing edited volumes based on papers presented at these events. The VAKKI symposia have become important forums for both Finnish and international researchers.
