Nothing beats a good set of löylys after a hard working week. Add a beer there and that’s as close to perfection as one can get. Sauna has been a big part of finnish culture for a long time. I think it might be hard for tourists to understand the point of sitting in a dark room with celsius rising over 80 degrees completely nude.
- Nokia
Once the undisputed king of mobile phones has made a great impact on Finlands overseas market. I think more than half of the people in world have heard of Nokia.
- Darude
The only international superstar DJ/producer from Finland. Darudes worldwide hit Sandstorm really took the world by (sandstorm). Darude really showed the world that you can climb from your basement making songs to headlining the biggest trance music festivals in the world in the early 2000’s. Darudes music can still be heard in clubs around the world and he still has few international gigs per month.
