TeknologiaUra – fair in Tampere-talo

TeknologiaUra fair is organized annually in Tampere-talo in mid-November to educate future talents about different career possibilities in technology. TAU and TAMK had a joint stand which Computing Sciences joined to promote local options for higher education to high school, middle school and vocational school students as well as their teachers. The fair had around 30 stands ranging from local manufacturing companies to multinational IT service companies and everything in between.

Finland, the well known powerhouse in machine learning research

Lately, I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know several top machine learning researchers as they’ve applied for ELLIS professorships at Finnish universities, including here in Tampere.
