Nursing Lecturers from Tampere Visited the University of Málaga to Exchange Expertise

In late May, two Senior Nursing Lecturers from Tampere University of Applied Sciences, Stiina Storvik-Sydänmaa and Gitte Taulo, visited the University of Málaga in Spain. Their trip formed part of an international staff exchange aimed at strengthening collaboration and sharing best practices in nursing education and clinical care. Stiina Storvik-Sydänmaa is a specialist in Paediatric and Neonatal Nursing, while Gitte Taulo’s expertise lies in Cardiology and Nephrology Nursing. They received a warm welcome from the faculty and international staff in Málaga.

At the Heart of Collaboration and Creativity – TAMK at the Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society Matchmaking Event

At the beginning of June, the Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society Matchmaking Event brought together leading European researchers, project professionals, and representatives from higher education institutions at the historic campus of the University of Greenwich in London. The event aimed to build new international consortia to respond to the themes of culture, creativity, and an inclusive society in the Horizon Europe 2025 call.

What’s up, AV-GROWTH? Responding to the current development needs of AV companies

The AV Growth project, led by Tampere University of Applied Sciences in collaboration with Film Tampere and Swedish Yrkesnämden för Film och TV (YNFT), has made significant efforts to map and identify potential growth companies within the audiovisual (AV) industry across Finland, Sweden, Latvia, and Estonia. The project aims to bolster the capabilities and networks of AV companies by fostering substantial industry growth through the AV Growth Programme executed by Film Tampere. The growth programme kicked off in October 2024, with a specific aim to support selected companies to achieve their pre-set scale-up target.

‘Competence equals Capacity’– Cross-border collaboration to support growth of AV companies

The audiovisual (AV) sector, particularly the Film and TV Industry in Finland and Sweden, faces challenges in growth due to a lack of local, regional, and national production resources. This includes staff, teams, skills, equipment, facilities, and international networks. To address these challenges, a cross-border collaboration between Finland, Sweden, Estonia, and Latvia entitled Growth for FINSWE Film and TV Companies (AV–Growth ) will run from 2024 to 2027.
