Tampere University and TAMK organized this year’s Tampere Summer School in the beginning of August. More than 300 students arrived from all over the world to take part in 17 courses of different fields. Some of the students stayed in Finland for the Summer School only, while others continue their studies at Tampere University or TAMK as exchange or degree students.
The event kicked off with the Opening Party at Klubi, where the students played bingo, watched a dance performance by UniDance and took pictures at the Photobooth.
Although the following days were full of courses and brainwork, the social events in the evenings were usually fully booked. The programme ranged from a Finnish beer tasting evening through forest immersion walks and Finnish food evenings to a sauna evening at Viikinsaari-island. Tampere Summer School, which lasted for two weeks, ended with a day cruise to Tallinn last Saturday where 30 students participated.
