Hot Takes on Multilingualism in the most Romantic City in the World

When the summer was just around the corner, I was offered the opportunity to attend a UNINOVIS workshop in Paris at the end of June. I was happy to go and represent TAMK in the most romantic city of the world even though the event took place during my summer break. That was no issue at all, but other challenges arose as the worst heatwave in France’s recorded history the very same day as did I. Indeed, the UNINOVIS workshop held from 24 to 26 June coincided with the hottest days ever recorded in France.

Personal meetings and interaction with international partners provide the foundation for collaboration

The International Week at Kauno Kolegija in April 2026 offered opportunities to visit different campuses, participate in activities, discuss with international partners, and generate initiatives for future UNINOVIS cooperation. In this blog post, we discuss about collaboration from four perspectives: collaboration emerging through activities at the Arts Campus, the significance of communication in simulation-based teaching, fostering a sense of community through storytelling, and the role of personal meetings in initiating collaborative efforts.

UNINOVIS Language Teachers BiP in Kaunas

Two TAMK English teachers attended the Language Teachers’ BiP organised by Kauno Kolegija in Vilnus. The attendees contained language teachers from the other UNINOVIS universities, but also others. During the 5 intensive days we learned and shared a lot!

THUAS takes the lead in UNINOVIS communications: The fruits of The Hague trip

At the beginning of November, UNINOVIS European Universities Alliance welcomed its newest member, The Hague University of Applied Sciences (THUAS), bringing the number of full member-HEIs to eight. Upon joining, THUAS assumed the responsibility for planning and coordinating communications and marketing actions of the alliance, as well as defining the brand message of Uninovis. It was to this end that a meeting of all Uninovis communication leads was organized in The Hague on 10-11 November. The 2-day visit also provided an ample opportunity for the European colleagues to get to know the THUAS main campus, since most of us were in The Hague for the first time.

Pershendetje nga Tirana – Greetings from Tirana

I got to do my long-awaited staff exchange at the University of Tirana, Albania, in early May. The reason for choosing Tirana as my Erasmus+ destination was twofold. Firstly, after having done my teacher’s education practice in a local language school in November 2024, I wanted to gain deeper understanding of how foreign languages are taught at the university level and what awaits the graduates upon completing their studies and entering the Albanian job market. Secondly, as the University of Tirana (UT) is one of our Uninovis partners, I took the opportunity to explore the potential for international mobility co-operation and academic exchange between our two institutions.
