A Letter about well-being - How To Respond Effectively To The Corona Crisis?

Coronavirus

At the moment our life seems and feels a lot different than what we are used to. We are forced to study and work remotely, and we are unable to take part in many of our important hobbies. Social distancing can make us feel lonely. We are all dealing with new challenges. The coronavirus pandemic can affect us in many ways: physically, emotionally, economically, socially, and psychologically.

FACE COVID is a brief animation written and narrated by Dr Russ Harris, author of the international best-seller The Happiness Trap, that illustrates how to use ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) to deal with the corona crisis and the fear, anxiety and worry that goes with it. Here’s a quick summary of the key steps:

F = Focus on what’s in your control
A = Acknowledge your thoughts & feelings
C = Come back into your body
E = Engage in what you’re doing

C = Committed action
O = Opening up
V = Values
I = Identify resources
D = Disinfect & distance
