Food waste turn into valuable products and strong sustainability

During our trip to Namibia as a part of the Circular Economy Models in Namibia: Capacity building project we had an opportunity to visit a local training centre in Swakopmund. In our visit we discovered a circular economy ecosystem which appears as a good example of strong sustainability covering environmental, economic and social elements. We also learned a punch of good practices on how to create value for local actors and communities from circular economy.

Kick-Off Event in Riga for the EU Interreg Central Baltic Project "Succeed in Business"

On November 11th and 12th, 2024, the EU Interreg Central Baltic project Succeed in Business started with a dynamic two-day event in Riga, Latvia. The Succeed in Business project aims to encourage young people to become entrepreneurs by providing them with practical skills, international networks, and continuous mentorship. This project offers a platform for students to turn their business ideas into reality, supported by coaches, mentors, and an engaged network of peers from across the Baltic region.

A new chapter for Tehdassaari island: environmental, social, and governance (ESG) at the heart of Nokia factory’s redevelopment

As part of my labour market training in International Business and Logistics at Tampere University of Applied Sciences (TAMK), I had the opportunity to intern at Cireco Finland Oy from March to May, 2024. This hands-on experience allowed me to apply my academic knowledge in a real-world setting, specifically focusing on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles in industrial redevelopment.

Co-Write week in The Academy of Popular Culture in the Netherlands

Recently, TAMK Music production students took part to a Blended Intensive Learning program organised by Academy of Pop Culture/Hanze University that aims to enhance the learning experience of students by combining online and offline learning. The program was designed for a group of 28 students from multicultural backgrounds, including Belgium, Finland, and the Netherlands, with diverse musical backgrounds.

Minun ääneni – A project that brings Alzheimer’s people together to enjoy music

As nursing students from TAMK, we got the opportunity to participate in the Minun ääneni project (translated as the “My Voice” project). This project is for people with memory disorders, and the particular event we joined was a music event in Pakkahuone on September 21st for the World’s Alzheimer’s Day. Attending was part of our Nursing Care for the Elderly studies.

Enabling Unique Learning Possibilities

Business Case Consulting Training is a study module offered to TAMK’s Business students. It enables students to participate and to enhance their learning even more in international business case competitions organized by universities and case clubs from all around the world. One team from the training achieved great success in Creative Shock competition and came back with a unique experience.
